As they grow older, seniors' vulnerability to mental health problems caused by loneliness, a decline in cognitive functions, and memory problems increases. The most common mental health concerns are cognitive impairment, anxiety, and mood disorders like depression. Mental health issues have a negative impact on the physical wellness of the elderly. Mood disorders can also adversely affect mental, physical, and social functioning, making it difficult to treat other conditions.
